The Boston-based Lenny Zakim Fund has awarded CCM a $5,000 challenge grant to support the distribution of the Difficult Conversations Workbook in Massachusetts.
Executive Director of the Zakim Fund, Jude Goldman stated, “Most of us, as patients or as providers, do not have the ability and the language we need to talk about the critical [end of life] issues carefully and truthfully…wide distribution of the toolkit to hospitals, clinicians and other providers will have a significant impact on the human rights of cancer patients and their families.”
