Join us for the 2nd annual facilitator training workshop in the use of the Center for Communication in Medicine’s signature support tool, SpeakSooner®: A Patient’s Guide to Difficult Conversations (Guide), which helps patients facing serious illness clarify questions, concerns and preferences for care.
This one day workshop offers:
- Hands-on training in introducing the SpeakSooner® Guide
- Strategies to address resistance or challenges one may encounter with the Guide’s content
- Methods for building collaborative relationships with healthcare and community organizations.
The workshop will be led by Bernard Bandman, PhD, the SpeakSooner® Guide’s co-author, and primary care physician Michael Welther, MD.
At the conclusion of this training, participants will be prepared to use the Guide with confidence, comfort and skill.
Cost for this day-long workshop is $150.00 with a sliding scale upon request. Lunch will be provided.
